Open edX® Tutorial: How to view enrolment numbers in the Open edX® Instructor Dashboard
The Open edX learning management system (LMS) comes with an Instructor Dashboard to manage your learners in the Open edX platform. In this tutorial you will learn how to view enrolment numbers in the Open edX Instructor Dashboard.
Note: If you already know how to access the Instructor Dashboard you can go directly to Step 3 below.
Step 1: Login to your Open edX LMS and go to any course.
If you don’t know how to access your Open edX LMS then ask your Open edX service provider for the link. If you don’t have an Open edX service provider, you can use this form to contact our team. Go ahead and login to your LMS, which will take you to your learner Dashboard where you will find all your courses. Go ahead and click on the course you want to enter.

Step 2: Click the Instructor tab.
Inside the course you will find the Instructor Dashboard for that course. So, where can you find it? It’s easy, just look for the tab named Instructor. This Instructor Dashboard tab can be found next to the other common course tabs, including Course, Discussion, Wiki, and Progress. The tab for accessing the Instructor Dashboard can be seen in the below image in blue. It is always the furthermost tab to the right hand side of all the tabs.

Step 3: Click the Course Info tab.
Conveniently, every time you go into the Instructor Dashboard, you will automatically end up on the Course Info page, that’s just how the system works. So you don’t need to worry about how to find the Course Info page tab. However, just incase you are on a different page, click the first tab on the left named Course Info. It is always the furthermost tab to the left hand side of all the tabs. That will open up the Course Info page.

Step 4: View the Enrolment Numbers on the Course Info page
Now that you are seeing the Course Info tab in the Instructor Dashboard, the following information will be displayed:
Enrolment Information
This will show you the total of enrolled users. This includes the number of enrolees, including Admins, Staff and Students by track. The tracks are Verified (this is an ID verified learner and please note this feature is not available in a standard Open edX® platform), Audit (this is a normal learner taking the course for free and includes Admins and Staff), Honor (this is a learner that can achieve a certificate), and lastly Professional (this is a learner that has paid for the course and can optionally achieve a certificate).
Note: Your Admins and Staff will be marked as Audit track. This is also true for Beta Testers and not only Admins and Staff.

That’s the fastest way to check the enrolment numbers in Open edX® platforms.
