Open edX® Tutorial: How to add a video to the course marketing page.
When you have created a new course in Studio, one of the first things you want to do is to edit the course schedule and course details, this includes the possibility to add an Course Introduction Video for the course so learners can learn more before enrolling. This is done on the Schedule & Details page of the course in Studio.
Note: If you already know how to navigate to the Schedule & Details page of the course, you can go directly to Step 4 below.

In order to access the Schedule & Details page, you first need to sign into Studio. From the Studio Home where all your courses are listed, click the course name of the course you want to enter. In the below image the course name is indicated as “Demonstration Course”, just click that to go inside the course to the course Outline.

Step 5: Copy and paste a YouTube video ID into the input field.
When you are ready to upload your course introduction video, you need to copy the YouTube video ID and paste it into the input field provided, as shown in the below image. You can find a YouTube video ID by looking at the video’s URL, and copying everything after the “=” sign and before the “&” symbol if there is one. As an example, if we look at the following YouTube video IDs of some videos we have previously filmed at the Open edX Conference 2016 and 2018, respectively. The video IDs inside of the URLs have been highlighted in the colour blue:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eCnBJyGmV0&t=1s
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nA3LTHJoE0A&t=5s
As can be seen in the below image, the YouTube video ID has been copied and pasted into the correct input field.
