Open edX® Tutorial: How to add a card image to the marketing page.
When you have created a new course in Studio, one of the first things you want to do is to edit the course schedule and course details, this includes adding a main image for the course, otherwise known as the course card image. This is done on the Schedule & Details page of the course in Studio.
Note: If you already know how to navigate to the Schedule & Details page of the course, you can go directly to Step 4 below.
Step 1: Navigate to the course Outline from inside Studio.
In order to access the Schedule & Details page, you first need to sign into Studio. From the Studio Home where all your courses are listed, click the course name of the course you want to enter. In the below image the course name is indicated as “Demonstration Course”, just click that to go inside the course to the course Outline.

If you see the message Your Changes Have Been Saved, you are done adding the Course Card Image. You can check what your Course Card Image looks like by navigating to the course marketing page of that course. You can also view it on your LMS Dashboard where all your courses are located.
What is the recommended size for the Course Card Image?
New course images must be 1134 x 675 pixels in size. However, only part of this image may be visible. The viewable area varies according to the web page where the viewer sees the image. The following example course image is 1134 x 675 pixels. The image shows the area of a course image that is always visible, as well as the areas that are also visible on different pages. You can click to enlarge the image.
